LS Marine Solution, established in 1995, is committed to creating a better tomorrow by providing total marine solutions ranging from submarine cables and offshore plants to offshore energy sources.
At the time of our establishment, domestic and international communication environment was in a need of ultra-high speed broadband network to cope with increasing voice and data communication between countries and the developing HDTV broadcasting. These market changes unleashed the construction of submarine fiber-optic cable to connect countries, which required Korea to establish a company to construct and maintain submarine fiber-optic cables without relying on foreign equipment and technology. To answer the needs, LS Marine Solution was established with the aim of securing independent communication technologies.
LS Marine Solution has been constantly growing with the market boom since the establishment. Especially, we were able to achieve technological independency by cultivating excellent technical professionals through active acquisition of advanced technologies and various education programs. Furthermore, in 1998, we proceeded building Korea's first hi-tech submarine cable ship 'Segero' and introduced special submarine cable laying equipment 'PLOUGH' and 'ROV' (Remotely Operated Vehicle) to run various offshore projects. In 2011, we additionally brought in multipurpose vessel 'Miraero' and have been successfully performing various domestic and foreign offshore projects.
LS Marine Solution is not satisfied only with submarine communication cable field and is expanding business area into entire offshore fields that requires high degree of construction technology such as installing and laying underwater oil and gas pipeline, constructing and maintaining underwater power cable, deep sea construction, offshore windfarms and many special underwater cable constructions. Today, our technology and skills are highly recognized in the global offshore market. Based on experience and global competitiveness accumulated through various successful submarine projects, we are confident that we will become the 'Total Marine Solution Provider' that can advance domestic marine industry and contribute greatly to global offshore industry.
